Lime in the Minibar
An exciting new business in the hospitality industry approached me requiring a branding for their company. Lime in the Minibar are a boutique consultancy service, who offer expert guidance to help tourism operators fine-tune their products and improve their guest experience. The name came about as their founder, Jane Nicholson, a tourism expert, visited a hotel in South Africa and, as a G&T drinker, was particularly impressed to find a fresh lime in the minibar. This small but memorable touch left a lasting impression and some years later while inspecting a soon-to-open Sydney hotel, she shared the idea with the manager. One year later returning as a guest, she was delighted to be greeted by a fresh lime in her minibar! Since then, Jane has enjoyed sharing many inspired ideas with industry colleagues to help fine-tune their product offering. The branding I created for the company uses a simple minimalist font along with a contemporary loosely illustrated lime icon. In addition to the identity – which included a lime segment 'grading' system, I created visual identity guidelines, business cards and Powerpoint templates for creating feedback documents for clients. The website was then created by Sproutworks. View it at: www.limeintheminibar.com.
